Astrophysics Open House
The astrophysics group at North Carolina State University maintains a committed program of astrophysical research, as well as teaching several undergraduate astronomy and astrophysics courses. Since NC State is a land grant institution, it is one of the missions of the astrophysics group to make our field of research accessible to the public. To this end, a program of Astronomy Open Houses was initiated several years ago at the NCSU Astronomy Lab Site off Reedy Creek Road, in Raleigh, NC. Recently, we have begun partnering with other community organizations in order to expand our ability to provide fun, educational events to the Triangle.
Next event: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have no events currently planned. We continue to monitor the situation as it develops. Once we are able to resume hosting public events, they will be posted on this page. We look forward to sharing the skies with you soon!
The NCSU Astrophysics group partners with other organizations to hold different events around the Triangle area throughout the year. Check this page for information on our upcoming events!
