Our faculty envision the NC State Department of Physics as performing creative, highly visible research in fundamental and applied science. Our vision blends fundamental physics and applications, theory and experiment, and integrates research and innovative teaching to create a vibrant intellectual atmosphere within a welcoming and collegial environment.

We are looking for faculty who share this vision, who will establish highly competitive research programs, and who will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. While these searches are broadly defined, we seek candidates who are open to collaborations in areas of current research strengths in the department and on our campus.
