Title: Beyond The Big Bang
Abstract: We all accept our universe started with Cosmic Inflation at high energies. And the ensuing cosmic story of particles, structure formation and CMB is in perfect agreement with our observations. But what provided this energy? Previous estimates show that the chance for our universe to start with high energy inflation is one part in 10^10^123, i.e. ridiculously small. The problem of the selection of the initial state of the universe is a longstanding one. Can we even ask what was there before, if we do not know what Time is? I will discuss the theory of the origin of the universe from the quantum landscape multiverse, which derives the answer to these questions, and predicts a series of ‘anomalies’ in our sky. But the answer comes at the price of a vaster cosmos, with many universes, where ours is a humble member.
