New Physics Majors

Welcome to the Physics Wolfpack Family!

Congratulations on deciding to become a Physics Major at NC State! 
We look forward to assisting you through New Student Orientation in June and beyond.  
 
Enrollment for new freshmen will being the first week in June. Our goal is for students to register for fall semester classes before New Student Orientation. New students at NC State participate in the Self-Registration Program. Students access MyPack Portal to enroll in classes. Please use this Moodle site to assist with course registration.

Follow these steps:

  1. Obtain your Unity ID and set your password
  2. Start using your NC State email account
  3. Learn about placement tests
  4. Log on to MyPack Portal at mypack.ncsu.edu
  5. Study your Degree Audit (see this youtube video)
  6. Build your schedule
  7. Familiarize yourself with the Enrollment Wizard. (Fill the Shopping Cart in the Enrollment Wizard with the courses in which you hope to register – see this youtube video.)
  8. Login to MyPack Portal on Thursday June 1st at 3 p.m. and attempt to enroll in your Shopping Cart courses
  9. Set up a phone appointment to review your schedule with the First Year Advisor (ewalexie@ncsu.edu)
  10. Register for New Student Orientation
